Voxeet, an audio conference service, announced today that it took in a $1.5 million round, led by LDV Partners.
The startup also announced the international launch of Voxeet 4.0, a service that builds on the startup’s “3D TrueVoice surround sound” technology to offer what the company is calling “the richest audio available with powerful collaboration features.”
“Conference calling is a massive market opportunity in Asia,” said LDV Partners’ Wayne Zhang. “Voxeet has built the best audio optimization technology and is in a position to do very well in countries like China, where bandwidth challenges are commonplace.”
Voxeet 4.0 will be available on iOS, Android, and the Web.
To date, Voxeet has raised at least $3 million. Other Voxeet investors include Partech Ventures, French VC Aquiti, and WebEx cofounder Susan Xu.
